Abstract
A new microwave dielectric system based on zinc titanates was investigated. The system comprising of ZnO-TiO2, (Zn, Mg)TiO3, and Zn(Ba, Ca, Sr)TiO3 exhibited low sintering temperature, temperature compensating characteristics, and relatively high quality factors compared with those of other low temperature sintering microwave dielectrics. The microwave properties were mainly depended on the phase composition and the stability. The quality factors and temperature coefficients of resonance frequency of pure zinc titanate were improved by the substitution of Zn with Ba, Ca, Sr, and Mg.
