Abstract
Multiview images for 3-dimensional image generations are obtained from an optical scanner in the image volume of an objective with a large entrance pupil. The scanner provides an effective means of segmenting the pupil to obtain the desired number of different view images and displaying them. In the current experimental setup, this scheme enables one to sample 70 different view images with a scanner having an amplitude of 15 degrees. The parameters governing the sampling process are defined.
