Abstract
The preparation of silver nanoparticles by the reduction of AgNO3 with hydrazine in Igepal CO-520/cyclohexane reverse micelle solutions has been studied. Transmission electron microscope, electron diffraction, and Xray diffiraction pattern analyses revealed the resultant particles to be silver. The average size of the synthesized nanoparticles first increased and thereafter approached a constant value with increased molar ratio of water to lgepal CO 520 and with increasing concentration of AgNO3.
