Abstract
We investigated the effects of iron content variation in electrodeposited CoFePtP alloys on the magnetic properties and microstructure. At an iron content of 4.3 at.%, the CoFePtP films exhibited a typical hard magnetic property, while at 13.8 at.% a soft magnetic property was observed. The preferred orientations of the electrodeposited films changed from [0 0 2] to [1 0 0] growth direction with increasing iron content in accordance with magnetic property variations.
