Abstract
The authors demonstrated a novel system to interrogate the Bragg wavelengths shift of an array of in-fiber Bragg gratings. The system used another array of in-fiber Bragg gratings as tracking filters to track the shifting reflected wavelengths of in-fiber Bragg gratings and locate the peaks of wavelengths by a digitizing method. A grating scale was employed to read out the output of the system. The resolution of the system was less than 1 muepsilon. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
