- This study investigates the synthesis of lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) nanoparitcles using continuous supercritical hydrothermal synthesis. LiFePO4 particles were characterized in SEM, XRD, BET, particle size analyzer (PSA) and charge/discharge testing. LiFePO4 retained well crystalline structure and nano size (7-25m2/g for BET surface area.) The LiFePO4 delivers reversible capacity of ~ 140 mAh/g at a current density of C/10 after carbon coating.
