dc.description.abstractThis study, performed by both experiment and analysis, was aimed to obtain hydrogen concentration distribution and understand the diffusion characteristics of hydrogen leaked from a hole whose size is lesser than 1.0 mm. An experimental leakage system of hydrogen was designed and hydrogen was discharged through a leak hole between 0.5~1.0mm. Hydrogen concentration was detected by collecting hydrogen-air mixture by using gas samplers. Hydrogen-air mixture was sampled at five locations of equal distances along a center line of the hydrogen jet. Numerical analysis was performed in two-dimension on the assumption that the hydrogen jet has huge Froude number and buoyancy can be negligible. The assumption was well proved by the comparison between experiment and analysis.-
