- Diesel is one of the best fuels in hydrogen storage application as it has very high hydrogen volumetric as well as gravimetric density. In present study, we used several catalysts (Nickel supported Rh) for partial oxidation(POX) reforming of diesel. The product gas compositions of POX of diesel was calculated thermodynamically as a function of temperature based on the principle of Gibb's Free energy minimization. Hexadecane(C16H34) was used as a surrogate of diesel for the thermodynamic estimation. Hence simulation study of POX reforming of hexadecane was studied and applied in our experimental work.
