Abstract
1. Paradoxical relationship bet. homo. and inhomo. deform. from the viewpoint of the packing density : inverse proportionality to inhomo., positive proportionality to homo. 2. Homo. deform. to be a precursor of subsequent inhomo. deform. and thus, to affects the global plasticity 3. High homo. deform. describes high degree of shear localization, premature fracture and low plasticity 4. Normalized relaxation heat (ΔH/Ho) evaluating the degree of shear localization can be used as a plasticity criterion of amorphous alloys
