- The elctrorheological (ER) fluids are intelligent (smart) materials whose rheological properties are controllable through the
application of an electric field, showing useful and special function with the effect of reversibility. In this study, we prepared various
colloid particles with different surface functional groups and size for the preparation of ER fluids. Interestingly, suspensions
dispersed with some polymeric colloids showed trembling shear behavior under an electric field. We also suggested a model
equation using the spring-damper theory of particle-level.
