Abstract
We made up the Sagnac interferometer based on elliptical core photonic bandgap fiber and measured the sensitivity of the interferometer to physical measurands such as temperature and strain. The sensitivities of temperature and strain were measured to be 3.97 pm/°C and - 0.81 pm/μm, respectively.
