- Here, we thoroughly investigated and developed highly conducting PEDOT:PSS composite films to achieve high conductivity and transparency. We also investigated the polymeric composite films as transparent electrodes in ITO-free organic solar cells (OSCs) based on poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and 1-(3-methoxycarbonyl)-propyl-1-phenyl-(6,6)C61 (PCBM). Furthermore, ITO-free OSCs with the polymeric anode films presented a high power conversion efficiency that is comparable to that of ITO-based reference cells, demonstrating the possibility of replacing the costly vacuum-deposited ITO with highly conductive polymeric films.
