Abstract
Since the discovery of superior properties of graphene, various attempts such as scotch tape method, chemical vapor deposition (CVD), and chemical reduction of graphene oxide to graphene have been reported to produce monolayer graphene sheets in a bulk quantity.1-2) Strong reductants such as hydrazine or dimethylhydrazine are commonly used in vacuum or inert atmosphere for 12-24 hr. However, the use of hydrazine or dimethylhydrazine to reduce grapheme oxide has many disadvantages for bulk production of graphene due to their highly explosive and toxic properties. Herein, we investigated reduction properties of graphene oxide via simple, safe, and ultrafast reducing agent such as sodium hydrosulfite.
