- In recent years, hydrogen has emerged as an altemative energy carrier especially fortransportation due to their high energy delivery and clean combustion. As hydrogen has very lowdensity: 0.08 kg/rnU in gaseous state and 70.8 kg/mU in liquid state U\ development of safe andeffective on-board hydrogen storage media which required for hydrogen powered vehicle has becomea major interest. Conventional hydrogen storage methods using either high pressure or very lowtemperature inside heavy tanks are no longer effective from the economic and safety point of view.Meanwhile, there are many types of porous materials available for gas storage such as zeolite,activated carbon and carbon nanotubes.
