Abstract
Ceria sol and SDC sol were coated through pore surface in Ni/YSZ anode for H2S tolerance. The cell performance was increased by the ceria modification in 20 (CeO2) ~ 50 %(SDC). The Ni-based anode was poisoned by H2S to form Ni3S2 (caused to the cell performance drop) in Ni/YSZ anode. In contrast, the ceria was reacted with H2S to form Ce2O2S (a sulfur sorbent) in ceria modified cell. Regeneration in H2 after H2S poisoning was much better in the ceria modified anode.
