Abstract
It is clear that excessive increase of pH during bio absorbing of Mg alloy can result in cytotoxicity by direct/indirect manor. It is also clear that there is a pH regulation in the body alive. Therefore, cytotoxicity test route IV(extraction of Mg alloys in CO2 incubator followed by cell culturing) is most realistic for the evaluation of cytotoxicity of Mg alloys. In order to evaluate the effect of metal ions themselves on cytotoxicity, extraction in amino acid and vitamin free media and adding amino acid and vitamin just before cell culturing is recommended.
