- Peroxisome proliferator–activated receptors (PPARs) are ligand-activated transcription factors involved in the transcriptional regulation of key metabolic
pathways such as lipid metabolism, adipogenesis, and insulin sensitivity. Three PPAR isotypes have been identified α, γ, and δ. The Amorphastilbol (APH)
is a small molecules of natural stilbenes isolated from the Acacia tree Robinia pseudo-acacia var. umbraculifera. It was identified that Amorphastilbol has
an activity for PPAR γ agonist. Therefore, we synthesized Amorphastilbol and its unnatural derivatives. Some of compounds showed good activity as
PPAR γ agonist. Herein we wish to describe syntheses of Amorphastilbol derivatives and their biological potency of PPAR γ.
