- In order to realize polymer electrolytes with high ionic conductivity, a series of imidazolium-based ionic polymers were synthesized by the radical polymerization and investigated. The ionic liquid polymers showed low conductivities due to the decrease of ion mobility after polymerization of ionic liquid species. To improve the ionic conductivity, ionic polymers containing ether group were prepared, and these polymers were mixed with equimolar amount of lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide. Increased ionic conductivity was observed at around 10-4 S cm-1 at room temperature. The results of differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) measurement showed that the increase of glass temperature of polymers was suppressed by the ether group.
