Abstract
We demonstrated the reflection type absorption spectroscopy based gas sensor formed by hollow core photonic band-gap fiber (HC-PBGF) and gold coated hollow core fiber. A very simple structure that can detect the gas quickly for fiber optic spectroscopy was constructed. The absorption spectrum of acetylene is measured experimentally and we have provided negative pressure to one end of HC-PBGF to improve the filling time for practical application of the gas sensor system too.
