- Synthetic bioactive peptides play an important role in inducing specific interactions with cells for biomedical applications. Recently, the peptide ligands such as Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD), Arg-Glu-Asp-Val (REDV), and Tyr-Ile-Gly-Ser-Arg (YIGSR) have been immobilized on the surface of polymeric materials to improve preferential cell adhesion.
