Abstract
Aptamer is an oligonucleotide having high affinity and selectivity for various target compounds. In this work, we studied interactions between thrombin-binding aptamer (TBA) and thrombin by using total internal reflection ellipsometry (TIRE). TIRE system could sensitively detect responses between TBA and thrombin, and monitor these interactions in real time. As a result, we expect that TIRE sensor system could be effectively used as the optical sensor in usual bio-molecule interactions.
