- As the lithium difluoro(oxalato) borate (LiDFOB) can effectively protect the electrodes from being attacked by other cell components and also improve their thermal stability via forming passivating films, LiDFOB was investigated as a functional additive for non-aqueous electrolytes for LiMn2O4 (LMO)/activated carbon (AC) hybrid capacitor. Therein, the electrolyte was 1M LiPF6 in a 1:1:1(volume%) mixture of ethylene carbonate(EC),dimethyl carbonate(DMC), and ethylmethyl carbonate(EMC). And then LiDFOB were added to the baseline electrolyte as additives in very small quantities and their effect on electrochemical performances were conducted under room temperature and 60 ℃. Finally, in order to evaluate other characteristics of hybrid capacitor with the addition of LiDFOB, XPS, FT-IR ,SEM and EDS were carried out.
