- This paper presents that nanotopography affects the
characteristics of cell migration and velocity. To do so, cells were
cultured on nano pillar patterns which have various diameters and
gaps, each range from 300 nm to 1500 nm. We confirmed that cell
migration and velocity are related to diameter and gap of nano
pillar patterns. Cells on the boundaries moved to pattern side. Also,
the migration velocity on the patterns was increased as diameter
and gap of the pillars decrease. Therefore, we concluded that cells
have a tendency to move to pattern side and have faster movements
as surface area increases.
