Abstract
For wide-spread of glasses-free 3DTV, the tracking technology of multi-user pupil should be developed and applied to multi-view display system. This paper describes our experimental research of multi-user pupil tracking using open source & commercial face trackers. Our experimental research is for implementing multi-user pupil tracking for creating/rendering of appropriate view content in our 3D glasses-free multi-view display system. For this goal, we investigate several kinds of pupil tracking solutions and apply them to our multi-user pupil tracking system. In view of used camera, we develop two approaches of multi-user pupil tracking system. One is webcam based approach and the other is Kinect depth camera based approach. This paper describes our experiences of implementation of multi-user pupil tracking for multiview display. This paper also describes how to enhance the limitation of current available commercial and open sources of face trackers. The evaluation results in terms of tracking accuracy show the effectiveness of our implemented system.
