- Boron-doped graphene/Polyimide (e-BEG/PI) nanocomposites was synthesized by in-situ condensation polymerization method. FT-IR spectra proved the conversion of PAA into PI. The characteristics imide groups present in the FT-IR spectra of PI and PI nanocomposite.
Graphene and boron-doped graphene were exfoliated well in our process shown in UV, TEM measurements.
The 0.01% e-BEG/PI nanocomposite showed about 29% and 27% increase in tensile strength and elongation at break, respectively and improved about 31% in modulus.  PI nanocomposite with extremely low e-BEG content (0.01%) has enhanced mechanical properties comparing to that of pure PI due to improved homogeneous dispersion of e-BEG in a polar solvent.
