Abstract
One of the most challenging problems in a gas sensing is low selectivity and volume limited target vapor in a real field such as explosive detection. Micro/nanotechnologies have developed drastically over past decades so that the gas sensors could have the ability of mass sensors to detect small masses with high sensitivity. Since it has been well known that the 2,4-dinitrotoluene (DNT) is a secondary product derived from TNT manufacturing process and storage, one can utilize DNT for the indicator of explosive detection. Many techniques have been investigated for the detection of explosives; however, there have been still some technical limitations for explosive detection such as low selectivity of sensor, transportability problem and limited volume of target molecules. To overcome the problems above, we report the multiple target sensor platforms with high sensitive microcantilever sensor platform and discuss the gas transport [1].
