Abstract
We developed an apparatus incorporating a coaxial nozzle to manufacture micro-scale capsules based on hydrodynamics. Coaxial nozzle located inside a quartz chamber ejects bioactive and capsulation solution simulataneously. The ejected two solutions are focused into a micro-scale stream by hydrodynamic flow and eventually transformed into capsules in a quartz micro-channel. Capsules formed in the micro-channel are verified by a strobe camera set.
