Abstract
Environmentallybenignnaturalaminoacids,especiallyhistidine-derivednitrogen-dopedcarbon materials werereadilysynthesizedfrompolycondensationreactionandsubsequentcarbonizationvia the stepwisethermolysisprocesswithhighyieldsof 40% evenatahightemperatureof1000 1C and the nitrogen-atomcontentsofaround5wt%.Thesematerialspossessedrolledplanarstructuresaswell as thick2D-likeplanarstructureswithspecific surfaceareaof455m2/g, exhibitinganotablespecific capacitance of58F/gatcurrentdensitiesof0.1A/gandsuperiorstabilitywithoutdeteriorationof performance valuesupto2000cycles.
