Abstract
In this study, an unmixing-mixing scheme is developed to predict the thermo-elastic properties of carbon-based composites including porous thermoset matrix by high temperature environment. The constitutive equation is defined by additional decomposition for strain components by mechanical load, temperature change, gas pressure in pore. The stress variation and strain contribution factors is presented to quantify the effect of micro structure into composites on deformations of constitutive materials, and the values calculate using Mori-Tanaka method. The predicted material properties is compared with those of finite element analysis and Mori-Tanaka method. The results show that the unmixing-mixing scheme is a reliable approach to predict the thermo-elastic properties for porous composites.
