<dcvalue element="description" qualifier="abstract">We&#x20;demonstrate&#x20;the&#x20;synthesis&#x20;of&#x20;double-walled&#x20;carbon&#x20;nano-tubes&#x20;(DWNTs)&#x20;with&#x20;a&#x20;selectively&#x20;boron-doped&#x20;outer&#x20;tube&#x20;via&#x20;the&#x20;thermal&#x20;diffusion&#x20;method.&#x20;Such&#x20;selective&#x20;boron-doping&#x20;in&#x20;the&#x20;outer&#x20;tubes&#x20;alters&#x20;the&#x20;electronic&#x20;properties&#x20;of&#x20;the&#x20;outer&#x20;tubes&#x20;while&#x20;keeping&#x20;the&#x20;intrinsic&#x20;properties&#x20;of&#x20;the&#x20;inner&#x20;tubes&#x20;intact,&#x20;thereby&#x20;resulting&#x20;in&#x20;highly&#x20;enhanced&#x20;thermoelectric&#x20;performance&#x20;of&#x20;the&#x20;DWNTs.</dcvalue>
