<dcvalue element="description" qualifier="abstract">High&#x20;quantities&#x20;of&#x20;synthetic&#x20;dyes&#x20;are&#x20;prevalent&#x20;in&#x20;wastewater,&#x20;which&#x20;are&#x20;disposed&#x20;into&#x20;the&#x20;environment&#x20;without&#x20;proper&#x20;treatment.&#x20;In&#x20;this&#x20;work,&#x20;two&#x20;types&#x20;of&#x20;aluminum&#x20;based&#x20;metal-organic&#x20;frameworks,&#x20;Al-FA&#x20;(fumaric&#x20;acid)&#x20;and&#x20;Al-SA&#x20;(succinic&#x20;acid),&#x20;were&#x20;synthesized&#x20;using&#x20;water&#x20;as&#x20;the&#x20;solvent&#x20;and&#x20;employed&#x20;for&#x20;the&#x20;adsorption&#x20;of&#x20;mono&#x20;and&#x20;di-azo&#x20;dyes.&#x20;Al-SA&#x20;exhibited&#x20;superior&#x20;affinities&#x20;towards&#x20;both&#x20;substrates&#x20;compared&#x20;to&#x20;those&#x20;of&#x20;Al-FA,&#x20;with&#x20;maximum&#x20;adsorption&#x20;capacities&#x20;of&#x20;559.28&#x20;and&#x20;332.48&#x20;mg&#x2F;g&#x20;for&#x20;mono&#x20;and&#x20;di-azo&#x20;dyes,&#x20;respectively.&#x20;Overall&#x20;findings&#x20;insinuate&#x20;that&#x20;Al-SA&#x20;can&#x20;be&#x20;considered&#x20;as&#x20;a&#x20;promising&#x20;candidate&#x20;for&#x20;efficient&#x20;azo&#x20;dye&#x20;removing&#x20;agent.&#x20;(C)&#x20;2017&#x20;The&#x20;Korean&#x20;Society&#x20;of&#x20;Industrial&#x20;and&#x20;Engineering&#x20;Chemistry.&#x20;Published&#x20;by&#x20;Elsevier&#x20;B.V.&#x20;All&#x20;rights&#x20;reserved.</dcvalue>
