<dcvalue element="description" qualifier="abstract">In&#x20;the&#x20;last&#x20;decade,&#x20;nanoparticles&#x20;have&#x20;offered&#x20;great&#x20;advances&#x20;in&#x20;diagnostic&#x20;imaging&#x20;and&#x20;targeted&#x20;drug&#x20;delivery.&#x20;In&#x20;particular,&#x20;nanoparticles&#x20;have&#x20;provided,remarkable&#x20;progress&#x20;in&#x20;cancer&#x20;imaging&#x20;and&#x20;therapy&#x20;based&#x20;on&#x20;materials&#x20;science&#x20;and&#x20;biochemical&#x20;engineering&#x20;technology.&#x20;Researchers&#x20;constantly&#x20;attempted&#x20;to&#x20;develop&#x20;the&#x20;nanoparticles&#x20;which&#x20;can&#x20;deliver&#x20;drugs&#x20;more&#x20;specifically&#x20;to&#x20;cancer&#x20;cells,&#x20;and&#x20;these&#x20;efforts&#x20;brought&#x20;the&#x20;advances&#x20;in&#x20;the&#x20;targeting&#x20;strategy&#x20;of&#x20;nanoparticles.&#x20;This&#x20;minireview&#x20;will&#x20;discuss&#x20;the&#x20;progress&#x20;in&#x20;targeting&#x20;strategies&#x20;for&#x20;nanoparticles&#x20;focused&#x20;on&#x20;the&#x20;recent&#x20;innovative&#x20;work&#x20;for&#x20;nanomedicine.</dcvalue>
