<dcvalue element="description" qualifier="abstract">In&#x20;this&#x20;paper,&#x20;we&#x20;present&#x20;an&#x20;autostereoscopic&#x20;3D&#x20;display&#x20;based&#x20;on&#x20;the&#x20;moire&#x20;effect.&#x20;The&#x20;left&#x20;and&#x20;right&#x20;images&#x20;are&#x20;built&#x20;of&#x20;the&#x20;moire&#x20;patterns.&#x20;When&#x20;observed&#x20;from&#x20;a&#x20;proper&#x20;location,&#x20;these&#x20;moire&#x20;images&#x20;can&#x20;be&#x20;perceived&#x20;stereoscopically&#x20;without&#x20;special&#x20;eyeglasses.&#x20;The&#x20;principle&#x20;is&#x20;confirmed&#x20;by&#x20;preliminary&#x20;experiments.</dcvalue>
