<dcvalue element="description" qualifier="abstract">We&#x20;prepared&#x20;Pt-Sn&#x2F;xAl-SBA-15&#x20;catalysts&#x20;with&#x20;various&#x20;ratios&#x20;of&#x20;Al&#x20;to&#x20;Si&#x20;and&#x20;investigated&#x20;them&#x20;for&#x20;propane&#x20;dehydrogenation&#x20;in&#x20;order&#x20;to&#x20;understand&#x20;the&#x20;influence&#x20;of&#x20;the&#x20;interaction&#x20;between&#x20;tin&#x20;and&#x20;the&#x20;supports&#x20;on&#x20;catalytic&#x20;stability.&#x20;The&#x20;weaker&#x20;interaction&#x20;between&#x20;SnO&#x20;(x)&#x20;and&#x20;the&#x20;supports&#x20;leads&#x20;to&#x20;easier&#x20;formation&#x20;of&#x20;Pt-Sn&#x20;alloys.&#x20;The&#x20;formation&#x20;of&#x20;Pt-Sn&#x20;alloys&#x20;increases&#x20;the&#x20;stability&#x20;of&#x20;catalysts,&#x20;and&#x20;the&#x20;stability&#x20;of&#x20;Pt-Sn&#x2F;xAl-SBA-15&#x20;catalysts&#x20;is&#x20;inversely&#x20;proportional&#x20;to&#x20;the&#x20;aluminum&#x20;content&#x20;in&#x20;SBA-15.</dcvalue>
