<dcvalue element="description" qualifier="abstract">A&#x20;composite&#x20;Ni-Mo-Fe&#x20;film&#x20;galvanostatically&#x20;coated&#x20;on&#x20;stainless&#x20;steel&#x20;substrate&#x20;is&#x20;studied&#x20;for&#x20;its&#x20;electrochemical&#x20;behavior&#x20;in&#x20;alkali&#x20;solutions.&#x20;The&#x20;film&#x20;is&#x20;characterized&#x20;by&#x20;SEM-EDAX,&#x20;ICP-AES,&#x20;linear&#x20;scan&#x20;voltammetry&#x20;and&#x20;open-circuit&#x20;potential&#x20;decay&#x20;transients.&#x20;The&#x20;main&#x20;aim&#x20;of&#x20;this&#x20;investigation&#x20;is&#x20;analyse&#x20;the&#x20;ternary&#x20;metal&#x20;coated&#x20;film&#x20;for&#x20;its&#x20;suitability&#x20;as&#x20;catalyst&#x20;to&#x20;water&#x20;electrolysis.&#x20;It&#x20;is&#x20;found&#x20;that&#x20;the&#x20;film&#x20;acts&#x20;as&#x20;a&#x20;very&#x20;good&#x20;catalyst&#x20;for&#x20;hydrogen&#x20;evolution&#x20;in&#x20;dilute&#x20;alkali&#x20;solution.</dcvalue>
