<dcvalue element="description" qualifier="abstract">A&#x20;composite&#x20;powder&#x20;has&#x20;been&#x20;prepared&#x20;by&#x20;ball&#x20;milling&#x20;a&#x20;mixture&#x20;of&#x20;LiBH4&#x20;and&#x20;LiAlH4&#x20;together&#x20;with&#x20;3&#x20;mol.%&#x20;TiF3.&#x20;The&#x20;powder&#x20;starts&#x20;to&#x20;decompose&#x20;between&#x20;450&#x20;and&#x20;520&#x20;K&#x20;and&#x20;the&#x20;weight&#x20;loss&#x20;reaches&#x20;up&#x20;to&#x20;7.2&#x20;wt.%.&#x20;The&#x20;formation&#x20;of&#x20;AlB2&#x20;is&#x20;clearly&#x20;observed&#x20;after&#x20;desorption&#x20;at&#x20;673&#x20;K&#x20;for&#x20;4&#x20;h.&#x20;It&#x20;is&#x20;also&#x20;confirmed&#x20;that&#x20;dehydrogenated&#x20;product&#x20;can&#x20;be&#x20;hydrogenated&#x20;to&#x20;about&#x20;5.1&#x20;wt.%&#x20;H-2&#x20;at&#x20;623&#x20;K&#x20;for&#x20;6&#x20;h&#x20;under&#x20;70&#x20;bar&#x20;of&#x20;hydrogen.&#x20;(c)&#x20;2008&#x20;Acta&#x20;Materialia&#x20;Inc.&#x20;Published&#x20;by&#x20;Elsevier&#x20;Ltd.&#x20;All&#x20;rights&#x20;reserved.</dcvalue>
