<dcvalue element="description" qualifier="abstract">Decomposition&#x20;of&#x20;carbon&#x20;dioxide&#x20;(CO2)&#x20;by&#x20;gliding&#x20;arc&#x20;plasma&#x20;was&#x20;examined.&#x20;The&#x20;plasma&#x20;device&#x20;consisted&#x20;of&#x20;two&#x20;or&#x20;four&#x20;triangular&#x20;stainless&#x20;steel&#x20;plates.&#x20;The&#x20;gas&#x20;enters&#x20;through&#x20;a&#x20;nozzle&#x20;tube&#x20;from&#x20;the&#x20;upper&#x20;part&#x20;of&#x20;the&#x20;cylindrical&#x20;reactor&#x20;and&#x20;exits&#x20;at&#x20;the&#x20;bottom&#x20;part&#x20;of&#x20;the&#x20;reactor.&#x20;Some&#x20;additional&#x20;gases,&#x20;such&#x20;as&#x20;N-2,&#x20;O-2,&#x20;air,&#x20;and&#x20;H2O,&#x20;have&#x20;been&#x20;used&#x20;to&#x20;study&#x20;the&#x20;dilution&#x20;effects&#x20;on&#x20;CO2&#x20;conversion.&#x20;A&#x20;simple&#x20;kinetic&#x20;reaction&#x20;model&#x20;was&#x20;developed&#x20;to&#x20;investigate&#x20;the&#x20;pathways&#x20;of&#x20;plasma&#x20;reaction.&#x20;Experimental&#x20;results&#x20;indicate&#x20;that&#x20;the&#x20;conversion&#x20;of&#x20;pure&#x20;CO2&#x20;reaches&#x20;18%&#x20;at&#x20;the&#x20;total&#x20;gas&#x20;flow&#x20;rate&#x20;of&#x20;0.85&#x20;L&#x2F;min&#x20;and&#x20;produces&#x20;CO&#x20;and&#x20;O-2&#x20;as&#x20;the&#x20;final&#x20;products.&#x20;The&#x20;effects&#x20;of&#x20;additional&#x20;gases&#x20;injection&#x20;are&#x20;described&#x20;in&#x20;detail&#x20;in&#x20;this&#x20;paper.</dcvalue>
