<dcvalue element="description" qualifier="abstract">Equal-channel&#x20;angular&#x20;rolling&#x20;was&#x20;attempted&#x20;to&#x20;refine&#x20;grain&#x20;size&#x20;of&#x20;a&#x20;low&#x20;carbon&#x20;steel&#x20;cooling&#x20;from&#x20;a&#x20;lower&#x20;7&#x20;region.&#x20;Distinct&#x20;refinement&#x20;of&#x20;ferrite&#x20;gains&#x20;as&#x20;well&#x20;as&#x20;disappearance&#x20;of&#x20;ferrite-pearlite&#x20;bands&#x20;occurred&#x20;by&#x20;shear&#x20;deformation.&#x20;Nano-size&#x20;particles&#x20;of&#x20;cementite&#x20;were&#x20;observed&#x20;in&#x20;ferrite&#x20;grains&#x20;as&#x20;well&#x20;as&#x20;on&#x20;grain&#x20;boundaries,&#x20;and&#x20;strength&#x20;increased&#x20;appreciably.&#x20;(C)&#x20;2004&#x20;Published&#x20;by&#x20;Elsevier&#x20;Ltd.&#x20;on&#x20;behalf&#x20;of&#x20;Acta&#x20;Materialia&#x20;Inc.</dcvalue>
