<dcvalue element="description" qualifier="abstract">It&#x20;has&#x20;been&#x20;prepared&#x20;Nb-ilerite&#x20;and&#x20;Me&#x2F;Nb-ilerite&#x20;(Me&#x20;=&#x20;Pt,&#x20;Pd)&#x20;catalysts&#x20;with&#x20;pillaring&#x20;and&#x20;impregnation&#x20;methods&#x20;using&#x20;the&#x20;layered&#x20;silicate&#x20;of&#x20;ilerite&#x20;structure&#x20;as&#x20;a&#x20;host&#x20;material,&#x20;and&#x20;carried&#x20;out&#x20;vapor&#x20;phase&#x20;Beckmann&#x20;rearrangement&#x20;of&#x20;cyclohexanone&#x20;oxime&#x20;to&#x20;F-caprolactam&#x20;for&#x20;the&#x20;catalysts.&#x20;It&#x20;was&#x20;found&#x20;that&#x20;Pt&#x20;and&#x20;Pd&#x20;metals&#x20;played&#x20;very&#x20;important&#x20;role&#x20;to&#x20;improve&#x20;the&#x20;catalytic&#x20;performance&#x20;of&#x20;Nb-ilerite.&#x20;Pt&#x2F;Nb-ilerite&#x20;and&#x20;Pd&#x2F;Nb-ilerite&#x20;catalysts&#x20;exhibited&#x20;higher&#x20;lactam&#x20;selectivities&#x20;and&#x20;yields&#x20;than&#x20;Nb-ilerite&#x20;catalyst.&#x20;Particularly,&#x20;Pt&#x2F;&#x2F;Nb-ilerite&#x20;showed&#x20;a&#x20;relatively&#x20;strong&#x20;resistance&#x20;for&#x20;catalyst&#x20;deactivation.&#x20;NH3-TPD&#x20;measurements&#x20;for&#x20;the&#x20;catalysts&#x20;revealed&#x20;that&#x20;these&#x20;results&#x20;were&#x20;mainly&#x20;due&#x20;to&#x20;the&#x20;change&#x20;of&#x20;acidic&#x20;properties&#x20;of&#x20;the&#x20;catalysts&#x20;by&#x20;metal&#x20;loading.</dcvalue>
