<dcvalue element="description" qualifier="abstract">Low&#x20;molecular&#x20;weight&#x20;dopant,&#x20;DPPB,&#x20;and&#x20;poly(BFMP12-AV)&#x20;alternating&#x20;copolymer&#x20;were&#x20;synthesized.&#x20;Double-layer&#x20;polymer&#x20;light-emitting&#x20;diodes&#x20;(PLEDs)&#x20;were&#x20;fabricated&#x20;with&#x20;a&#x20;mixture&#x20;of&#x20;dopant&#x2F;matrix&#x20;polymer&#x20;as&#x20;an&#x20;emissive&#x20;layer&#x20;and&#x20;Alq(3)&#x20;as&#x20;an&#x20;electron-transporting&#x20;layer.&#x20;The&#x20;effect&#x20;of&#x20;dopant&#x2F;matrix&#x20;polymer&#x20;pair&#x20;on&#x20;the&#x20;energy&#x20;transfer&#x20;and&#x20;electro-optical&#x20;properties&#x20;of&#x20;doped&#x20;PLEDs&#x20;was&#x20;discussed&#x20;with&#x20;emphasis&#x20;on&#x20;emission&#x20;color&#x20;changes&#x20;and&#x20;luminescence&#x20;efficiency&#x20;of&#x20;doped&#x20;PLEDs.&#x20;(C)&#x20;2003&#x20;Elsevier&#x20;B.V.&#x20;All&#x20;rights&#x20;reserved.</dcvalue>
