<dcvalue element="description" qualifier="abstract">PLZT&#x20;thick&#x20;film&#x20;was&#x20;deposited&#x20;on&#x20;the&#x20;Corning&#x20;7059&#x20;glass&#x20;by&#x20;methoxyethanol&#x20;and&#x20;acetic&#x20;acid&#x20;based&#x20;sol-gel&#x20;method.&#x20;Thick&#x20;film&#x20;was&#x20;fabricated&#x20;by&#x20;multi-coating&#x20;method&#x20;up&#x20;to&#x20;4&#x20;mm&#x20;of&#x20;thickness.&#x20;The&#x20;electro-optic&#x20;behavior&#x20;of&#x20;PLZT&#x20;film&#x20;was&#x20;measured&#x20;using&#x20;Senarmont&#x20;method&#x20;with&#x20;co-planar&#x20;electrode&#x20;structure.&#x20;The&#x20;quadratic&#x20;electro-optic&#x20;properties&#x20;were&#x20;measured&#x20;with&#x20;various&#x20;thickness&#x20;and&#x20;electrode&#x20;structures.&#x20;The&#x20;PLZT&#x20;thick&#x20;film&#x20;with&#x20;embedded&#x20;electrode&#x20;structure&#x20;showed&#x20;higher&#x20;birefringence&#x20;shift&#x20;and&#x20;enhance&#x20;electric&#x20;breakdown&#x20;resistance.</dcvalue>
