<dcvalue element="description" qualifier="abstract">NdFeB&#x20;sintered&#x20;magnets&#x20;with&#x20;the&#x20;addition&#x20;of&#x20;various&#x20;amounts&#x20;of&#x20;FeGa3&#x20;powder&#x20;were&#x20;prepared&#x20;by&#x20;blending&#x20;during&#x20;the&#x20;ball&#x20;milling&#x20;process,&#x20;The&#x20;magnetic&#x20;properties&#x20;and&#x20;microstructure&#x20;of&#x20;the&#x20;NdFeB&#x20;magnets&#x20;were&#x20;studied.&#x20;It&#x20;was&#x20;found&#x20;that&#x20;the&#x20;addition&#x20;of&#x20;0.1-0.2&#x20;wt.%&#x20;FeGa3&#x20;powder&#x20;increases&#x20;the&#x20;coercivity&#x20;of&#x20;the&#x20;magnets&#x20;without&#x20;reducing&#x20;the&#x20;remanence.&#x20;The&#x20;improvement&#x20;in&#x20;coercivity&#x20;by&#x20;the&#x20;addition&#x20;of&#x20;FeGa3&#x20;powder&#x20;may&#x20;be&#x20;related&#x20;to&#x20;the&#x20;formation&#x20;of&#x20;a&#x20;Nd6Fe14-xGax&#x20;(x&#x20;congruent&#x20;to&#x20;1)&#x20;intergranular&#x20;phase&#x20;in&#x20;the&#x20;magnets.</dcvalue>
