<dcvalue element="description" qualifier="abstract">The&#x20;influence&#x20;of&#x20;the&#x20;texture&#x20;in&#x20;hot-band,&#x20;cold-rolled&#x20;strip&#x20;on&#x20;the&#x20;annealing&#x20;texture&#x20;and&#x20;the&#x20;magnetic&#x20;induction&#x20;has&#x20;been&#x20;investigated&#x20;in&#x20;thin-gauged&#x20;3&#x20;%&#x20;silicon-iron&#x20;steel.&#x20;Under&#x20;moderate&#x20;final&#x20;cold-rolling&#x20;condition,&#x20;the&#x20;thin-gauged&#x20;strips&#x20;showed&#x20;magnetic&#x20;inductions&#x20;higher&#x20;than&#x20;1.9&#x20;T&#x20;after&#x20;final&#x20;annealing&#x20;at&#x20;1200&#x20;degrees&#x20;C&#x20;for&#x20;14.4&#x20;ks.&#x20;A&#x20;heavily&#x20;deformed&#x20;strip&#x20;showed&#x20;a&#x20;magnetic&#x20;induction&#x20;less&#x20;than&#x20;1.69&#x20;T.&#x20;Through&#x20;ODF&#x20;analysis,&#x20;it&#x20;was&#x20;found&#x20;that&#x20;the&#x20;nucleation&#x20;and&#x20;the&#x20;development&#x20;of&#x20;Goss&#x20;texture&#x20;is&#x20;not&#x20;largely&#x20;related&#x20;to&#x20;the&#x20;{110}[001]&#x20;grains&#x20;near&#x20;the&#x20;surface&#x20;of&#x20;the&#x20;hot-band,&#x20;cold-rolled&#x20;strip,&#x20;but&#x20;to&#x20;the&#x20;final&#x20;cold-rolling&#x20;reduction&#x20;ratio.</dcvalue>
