<dcvalue element="description" qualifier="abstract">Separation&#x20;of&#x20;oil&#x20;in&#x20;water&#x20;emulsion&#x20;was&#x20;carried&#x20;out&#x20;by&#x20;crossflow&#x20;microfiltration&#x20;using&#x20;3&#x20;types&#x20;of&#x20;microporous&#x20;glass&#x20;tubular&#x20;membrane&#x20;with&#x20;different&#x20;pore&#x20;size&#x20;of&#x20;0.27,&#x20;0.75,&#x20;and&#x20;1.47&#x20;mu&#x20;m.&#x20;The&#x20;effect&#x20;of&#x20;pore&#x20;size&#x20;on&#x20;permeate&#x20;flux&#x20;and&#x20;oil&#x20;rejection&#x20;was&#x20;investigated&#x20;and&#x20;the&#x20;filtration&#x20;mechanisms&#x20;were&#x20;analyzed&#x20;based&#x20;on&#x20;various&#x20;types&#x20;of&#x20;filtration&#x20;models.</dcvalue>
