<dcvalue element="description" qualifier="abstract">We&#x20;experimentally&#x20;demonstrated&#x20;generation&#x20;of&#x20;ultra-bright&#x20;polarization-entangled&#x20;photon&#x20;pairs&#x20;based&#x20;on&#x20;a&#x20;spontaneous&#x20;parametric&#x20;down-conversion&#x20;process&#x20;in&#x20;a&#x20;bulk&#x20;KTP&#x20;crystal.&#x20;This&#x20;technique&#x20;uses&#x20;noncritical&#x20;phase&#x20;matching&#x20;to&#x20;generate&#x20;Type&#x20;II,&#x20;collinear&#x20;photon&#x20;pairs.</dcvalue>
