<dcvalue element="description" qualifier="abstract">We&#x20;developed&#x20;various&#x20;types&#x20;of&#x20;terahertz&#x20;metasurface-based&#x20;sensing&#x20;platforms&#x20;for&#x20;highly&#x20;sensitive&#x20;imaging&#x20;of&#x20;biochemical&#x20;species&#x20;with&#x20;enhanced&#x20;image&#x20;contrast.&#x20;Target&#x20;biomolecules&#x20;and&#x20;variants&#x20;were&#x20;captured&#x20;by&#x20;sensitively&#x20;enhanced&#x20;terahertz&#x20;signals&#x20;at&#x20;the&#x20;near-field&#x20;regime.&#x20;Further&#x20;studies&#x20;with&#x20;an&#x20;optical&#x20;parameter&#x20;extraction&#x20;algorithm&#x20;and&#x20;data&#x20;processing&#x20;represented&#x20;great&#x20;promise&#x20;as&#x20;a&#x20;future&#x20;work&#x20;beyond&#x20;the&#x20;absorption&#x20;cross-section&#x20;and&#x20;diffraction&#x20;limits.</dcvalue>
