<dcvalue element="description" qualifier="abstract">In&#x20;this&#x20;research,&#x20;we&#x20;present&#x20;the&#x20;SLAM&#x20;implementation&#x20;based&#x20;on&#x20;WiFi&#x20;and&#x20;pedestrian&#x20;dead&#x20;reckoning&#x20;(PDR)&#x20;using&#x20;smartphone&#x20;in&#x20;the&#x20;indoor&#x20;environment.&#x20;To&#x20;find&#x20;a&#x20;WiFi&#x20;similarity,&#x20;new&#x20;method,&#x20;surface&#x20;correlation,&#x20;is&#x20;applied.&#x20;We&#x20;identify&#x20;that&#x20;the&#x20;surface&#x20;correlation&#x20;method&#x20;finds&#x20;accurate&#x20;WiFi&#x20;similarity&#x20;even&#x20;in&#x20;a&#x20;weak&#x20;WiFi&#x20;environment.</dcvalue>
