Authors: Choi, Heeseung; Kim, Ig-Jae; Han, Gyu Chull
Abstract: This paper presents a mobile tour guide system with augmented reality, called Smart Booklet. The system enables tourists to have more informative, interactive and user-specific experiences with augmented information by recognizing/tracking the contents of an off-line tour booklet. For a stand-alone mobile system, demanding low computational cost, an image matching technique based on the combination of two binary feature descriptors are applied. Our proposed system can be applicable to many areas such as education and entertainment industries.</summary>

Authors: Seo, Dongmahn; Hong, Seung-gil; Song, Gyuwon; Kim, Suhyun
Abstract: In this paper, we propose a life log system which provides a real-time voice recording with a speech-to-text feature over smartphone environments. The proposed system records data of user life using a microphone of smartphone. Recorded data are sent to a server, analyzed, and stored. Recorded data are dictated using a speech-to-text service, and saved as text files. The proposed system is implemented as a prototype system and evaluated. Users of our system are able to search their life log sound files using text.</summary>

Authors: Park, Sung-Kee; Kim, Dong Hwan
Abstract: This paper presents a new texture-less object recognition algorithm using contour fragment-based features with bisected local regions. We propose a new feature descriptor which is computed on a bisected local region around each feature point. For each feature point, the local region is divided into two bisected regions according to the tangent line of the contour fragment, and then the proposed feature descriptor is computed on each of the bisected local regions. In our feature matching, we remove spurious potential matches by selecting top-k minimum cost image features for each model node, and the survived potential matches are refined by spectral matching algorithm using pairwise geometric interaction between features.</summary>

Abstract: In this paper, we propose a user-generated baseball highlight system. The proposed system provides environments for baseball highlight generation based on real-time text scoreboard with social media and live media. The proposed system creates short baseball highlights according to analysis of live baseball text scoreboard and social media. Users can generate baseball highlights with selections of short highlight clips.</summary>
