Title: EEG Correlates of User Satisfaction of Haptic Sensation
Authors: Park, Wanjoo; Duchan, Ki; Kim, Laehyun; Kwon, Gyu Hyun; Kim, Sung-Phil; Kim, Da-Hye
Abstract: We investigated a correlation between electroencephalography (EEG) power and user satisfaction about haptic sensation. EEG power in alpha, delta, and high beta band showed a significant correlation with haptic satisfaction, especially in the early period. Our results show the feasibility of a novel metric for UI design of consumer electronics.

Transmission-type Three-Dimensional Screen Using Micro Hole-mirror Array

Title: Transmission-type Three-Dimensional Screen Using Micro Hole-mirror Array
Authors: Sung, Hyunsik; Song, Byoungsub; Min, Sung-Wook; Park, Min-Chul; Choi, Sungwon
Abstract: A transmission-type three-dimensional screen using micro hole-mirror array (MHA) is proposed to improve the image visibility in projection-type integral imaging system. MHA which is a metal sheet with the array of holes whose wall surface is specular, can reduce the flipped image and resultingly increase the viewing angle of the system. The experimental results can verify the feasibility of the proposed device.

Title: SaveMe: User-centric Cloud System
Authors: Song, Gyuwon; Seo, Dongmahn; Kim, Suhyun
Abstract: We present SaveMe: user-centric cloud system as a cloud of clouds. We aim to provide an impregnable cloud service for end users. SaveMe builds a single virtual cloud by combining public and private clouds. In SaveMe, all files are fully encrypted, erasure coded, and distributed. All data processing is performed in a consumer electronic device. While maintaining advantages of a cloud service, it ensures better privacy and availability.

Categorical Object Recognition Method Robust to Scale Changes Using Depth Data From an RGB-D Sensor

Title: Categorical Object Recognition Method Robust to Scale Changes Using Depth Data From an RGB-D Sensor
Authors: Yoo, Ju Han; Park, Sung-Kee; Kim, Dong Hwan
Abstract: We propose a new categorical object recognition algorithm robust to scale changes. We first partition an input image into k regions by using depth data from an RGB-D sensor, and then we estimate the object scale for each partitioned region. Finally, scaled model is applied to recognize the object.
