- Abstract
- The light intensity distribution in front space of the display panel in the contact-type multiview 3D imaging systems is measured to visualize viewing zone characteristics of the systems. It allows comparing visually the optical characteristics of two possible optical configurations such as radial and parallel in the systems. The distribution insure that the light field from each pixel cell is mixed with those from other pixel cells as a consequence no images viewed at different areas of the viewing zone have the same pixel compositions as others. It also reveals that the light field for the parallel configuration has almost the same characteristics as that for either side along the parallel plane to the display panel, which is at the viewing distance of the radial configuration.
